I'm the CEO and founder of Life Warrior Coaching, with over 28 years of experience in the fitness industry. I started out working in gyms, then owning gyms, but here’s the thing I found, people weren’t getting the results they wanted.
During COVID, I had to pivot to online coaching, and that’s when everything changed. The secret? It wasn’t the workouts; it was focusing on nutrition and people needed accountability. That’s where most people fail in the gym, but online, they thrived.
Seeing how much more successful people were, I decided to go all-in with online coaching because I wanted to see people win.
When I’m not helping clients crush their health goals, you’ll probably find me fixing or riding my dune buggy, playing pickleball (since I had to pivot from racquetball because nobody plays anymore), or hanging out with my kids and parents. Jenn and I also love to travel and have been doing more of this the last few years.
Why do I work with primarily women? Well, they listen and do the work—unlike men, who sometimes need a little extra convincing (sorry guys)
In the summer of 2005, I was obese, depressed, and had no optimism for my future. I had a crush on a girl and thought to myself, “Who would ever want to be with me when I look like this?” I was terrified of being alone forever, so I began my journey to get healthy.
After losing almost 60 lbs, I ran into an old friend I hadn’t seen in years. My friend, Sam, had also become obese. I started mentoring him, teaching him about working out and nutrition. Over the next 9 months, Sam transformed his life and met the woman he would eventually marry. Seeing his transformation inspired me to pursue a career in health and fitness.
For the last 15 years, I’ve managed fitness studios in New Jersey, New York, and Michigan. I owned a women-only small group personal training studio in Rochester, Michigan for 5 years.
Now I live in Greenville, South Carolina with my wife and our two fur babies (sometimes fur monsters).
Throughout my career, I studied under one of the founding fathers of “change psychology” — the process of transforming your brain to ensure you sustain your physical transformation.
I’ve also completed masterclasses on creating sustainable habits, self-compassion, motivation, and online coaching, to name a few.
Hi, I’m Coach Jenn—a Certified Personal Trainer, Weight Loss Coach, and Alzheimer’s Disease Fitness Specialist.
I’ve completed dozens of courses on topics like postural training, strength, nutrition for aging, and more. But what really matters is WHY I do this.
My love for fitness began as a kid, watching my mom do aerobics with Richard Simmons. Her strength and joy inspired me to start exercising at age 9, and my passion has evolved into a love for strength training.
As a woman in my 50s, I’ve seen firsthand how strength training and proper nutrition transform both body and mind. I learned the hard way that “you can’t out-train a bad diet.”
I used to punish myself with long workouts while ignoring nutrition—eating processed foods or avoiding carbs entirely. It never worked. Now I help women avoid those same mistakes and find balance.
My other “why” is deeply personal. I’ve seen Alzheimer’s take loved ones from me, and I know how powerful nutrition is in preventing disease and preserving health.
Many people don’t realize the impact of their food choices until it’s too late. My mission is to share this knowledge so others can enjoy longer, healthier lives.
Lastly, a confession: I LOVE desserts—especially anything warm, gooey, and chocolatey. Fitness isn’t about being perfect; it’s about progress and striving to be 1% better every day.
Hi, I’m Coach Kris! Like many, my journey has been full of ups and downs.
As a tall, skinny girl, I faced teasing and body shame, covering up even in the summer. Later, the opposite happened—takeout, snacks, and wine led to weight gain, and the sadness returned. A photo on my birthday was my wake-up call.
I tried everything: 1200 calories, more cardio, longer workouts—but nothing worked. Frustrated, I hired a personal trainer and nutrition coach. They told me something shocking:
I wasn’t eating enough!
By trusting the process—eating more of the right foods, cutting cardio, and focusing on strength—I started losing weight, gaining energy, and feeling amazing.
Two years later, I competed in my first bodybuilding competition and left my corporate career to help other women transform their health. Now, as a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, and Nutrition Coach, I’m passionate about empowering women to feel great in their bodies.
Today, I live a balanced life with good food, exercise, and a little wine. And yes, I finally wear shorts and swimsuits in public!
My favorite sayings:
Growing up, I was always active—playing sports, running around, just being a crazy kid. I was constantly surrounded by nutrition and health, but I didn’t really focus on that side of things until around college. Even then, I stayed active, but it wasn’t until later that I really started appreciating the impact nutrition could have.
I dropped out of college to work behind the scenes at Life Warrior, never intending to become a nutrition coach. But after about a year of seeing the difference we were making in the lives of so many women, I wanted to take a more hands-on approach. What really pushed me was seeing friends—especially women—struggling with body image issues before they were even 25. I knew there was a better way, and I wanted to help them find it.
So, I got my NCI certification in nutrition coaching and began coaching for Life Warrior while also helping those around me. I’ve always loved helping people, and now I get to do it every day.
Outside of coaching, I look forward to playing soccer every Tuesday night. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, strength training, going for walks, and watching sports—football and basketball are my absolute favorites!
What drives me most is not only helping people make physical changes but really its helping them understand their body, love themselves again, and restore their confidence.
